Diana L. Howie

HAMMOND – Diana L. Howie, 67, of Norwood, formerly of Hammond, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2018 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Diana was born on August 19, 1951 in Ogdensburg, New York, a daughter to the late Carl and Eva (Abar) Clary. She attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and went on to work at Newell Manufacturing for 30 years.

In 1966, she married Arthur Earl Howie Jr. in Hammond, NY. Arthur passed away in May of 1996.

Diana loved to knit, play bingo, collect antiques and gamble at the casino.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Douglas Perault of Norwood; two sons, Arthur E. (Lori) Howie III, Hammond, NY; Allen (Karen) Howie, Hammond, NY; two daughters, Laura (Patrick) Carr, Fowler, NY; Ann (Bob) Boland, Hammond, NY; two sisters, Mary Lou Shortt, Oswego, NY; Carol Van Horn, Oswego, NY; a brother, Carl Clary Jr., Ogdensburg, NY; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service on December 22, 2018 at 11 AM at Fineview Cemetery in Hammond. A Celebration of Life reception will immediately follow at a location to be announced.
